For their last appearance in the States until the summer, Royal Blood opened for Queens of the Stone Age at The Forum on February 17. Despite playing for a mostly empty venue, the rock duo from Brighton, England filled the cavernous Forum with their typical bombastic, grinding rock: Mike Kerr – tongue often escaping his mouth – on bass and vocals and Ben Thatcher showing no mercy to his drum set with sticks raised to the rafters. Royal Blood will continue through South America, Oceania and Canada before returning to the US for a headlining tour in May.
