Watch Mike Patton and DJ QBert Collaborate Live For The First Time Ever

This Friday, something magical happened in San Francisco that was probably not on many music-lovers’ watches. The incredible, versatile, unstoppable vocalist Mike Patton joined up with scratch master DJ QBert. This was the two musical geniuses’ first live collaboration together and it all went down in San Francisco’s Mission District at The Chapel. The two musicians teamed up for a night of incredible music, featuring many improvisational moments such as a rendition of Peeping Tom’s “Your Neighborhood Spaceman.”

The show was a last-minute addition, with the proceeds going to help out the venue. The Chapel had been left in the lurch after Peter Murphy’s 16-day residency was cancelled because of a visa issue from his home country of Turkey. Due to the understandably high demand of the first show, a second show was added for lucky Northern Californians on February 10.

Mike Patton is currently most busy with his hardcore band Dead Cross, which features Dave Lombardo as well as Justin Pearson from The Locust. The band released an excellent debut (especially for supergroup) and appear to be working on more new music.
