Thanks. And Sorry: The Chuck Mosley Movie has been announced by director and musician Drew Fortier as the lastest project. In 2017 while Drew had played guitar for a handful of shows for Mosley, both had discussed the framework of a documentary that would be about the artist’s life.
The film is a documentary about the late Chuck Mosley, also known as the former vocalist for Faith No More/Bad Brains/Cement. The film will be produced by Douglas Esper, also known as Chuck’s longtime friend/bandmate/babysitter. He has stated “In supporting Drew I hope to give people a glimpse into the beautiful and frustrating mind of one of the most unique, self proclaimed ‘Rock Satellites,’ of all time.”
The artist passed away on November 9th, 2017. Many artist such as Chris Kniker has given statements about his death, while Primitive Race released video in honor of the late singer. This was a couple days after leaving a voicemail for Drew. The voicemail can be heard below.
When talking about moving forward, according to the press release, Drew states “I am incredibly excited to tell Chuck’s story,” Drew says. He continues by saying “I believe everyone will be able to get something positive out of the finished project of what will be Chuck’s film.” Drew also stated, “I’ve decided to go ahead with the video…I mean, not the video, but the documentary on this one, Chuck Mosley. He seems like a pretty expansive and explosive character. I think he would be perfect for the part of himself…”
