Devin Townsend New Project Empath Will Be Written and Recorded in 5.1 Surround Sound

The last fans heard from Devin Townsend  he had exciting plans to work on his innovative albums, and put the Devin Townsend project on hiatus. With now more insight into his plans, the bitter sweet news adds a slightly sweeter taste to fans palate.

Taking to Twitter, Townsend has his four albums conceptualized and ready to go. And in a few months time they will be released. After Empath has been recorded, fans can be rest assured that The Moth will follow the release of his albums as well as the Devin Townsend Project albums, being released in a few months.

Fans have a lot to look forward to with Townsends new adventures. Empath is one of serval projects that he has in the works with his focus still being on the upcoming “Oceans Machine: Biomech” 20th anniversary live release, Eras.

Nonetheless, as the hard worker that he is, Townsend plans to also release serval project albums alongside his other commitments, which include Ki , Addicted, Deconstruction and Ghost.

Creating an unmistakable excitement is Empath. Being written in 5.1 surround sound, Townsends new symphony will be providing a high quality of sound that none of his previous records provided.

Devin’s wall of sound production technique could really benefit from the extra separation that 5.1 surround sound creates, and with him having “this in mind,” it is no wonder his excitement floods fans from his Twitter feed.

Providing his fans with a sound that adds quality and consistent home cinema like projection, the 5.1 surround sound will really compliment his production style, which is extremely dense and layered.

Therefore, give fans a live, in person experience splitting the overall composition into different channels, while opening up a whole new venture of music, and  encounter for fans.
