According to the Denver Post, Alaina Moore of popular indie pop group Tennis was taken to the hospital after fainting while the band was on tour. Her bandmate and husband Patrick Riley posted on Instagram, indicating that the situation was very much touch-and-go after she collapsed while “shopping for breakfast.” In fact, he goes as far to say he feared that she had lost her life. The post includes a photo of the 32 year old Moore in a hospital bed looking pretty rough. The band did not perform at their show in Detroit on Tuesday night, and it’s unclear whether they’ll play in Toronto tonight.
Riley updated the Denver Post on the situation in an email. “Alaina lost consciousness yesterday from exhaustion and stress mixed with a viral infection she’s had since tour started.” He says he’s never been more terrified than he was as she collapsed, a moment that lasted only around 15 seconds but felt like hours to the understandably distraught husband. The couple spent the day at the hospital as Moore underwent tests, which luckily have come back with good results. He adds that “Alaina is currently doing a lot better and we are hoping to get underway in the next day or so.”
