Allegaeon Joins Rings of Saturn and More for Spring 2018 Dank Memes Tour Dates

After just wrapping up a successful run of tour dates with Ne Obliviscaris, melodic death metallers Allegaeon have announced new touring package with Rings of Saturn, Nekrogoblikon, and Entheos dubbed the Dank Memes Tour. The title references a common practice on the internet of dubbing new memes dank to indicate their excellence. While Allegaeon has developed into a stellar metal band, capable of combining both harsh atonal playing with airier melodic playing (check out their excellent cover of the Rush song “Animate”) they are more widely known for their financial struggles as a band. In 2016 the group made it clear that to continue performing and touring they would have to receive additional funding from the Patreon platform as the rigorous touring schedule required a full-time metal band was not financially feasible for them anymore.

After a successful round of funding, it appears that the band is back on their feet and this tour package promises to be one of the better ones coming around the country in the early part of the year. After completing the tour, Allegaeon will enter the studio to record their 5^th full-length album with producer Dave Otero.
