On the back of their just-released new EP to imagine, Southern California alternative rock group The Neighbourhood will be hitting the road. The tour begins in the west, working its way down the coast until the band makes an appearance at Coachella 2018 for two weeks in April. After taking the month of May off, the group heads across the country for some summer shows on the East Coast, wrapping up on June 27 in Cincinatti, OH.
to imagine isn’t the band’s only EP of the last few months. In September, the group surprise released their HARD EP. These two EPs are the first new music from the band since they released the LP Wipeout in 2015.
The group consists of members Jesse Rutherford (vocals), Jeremy Freedman (guitar), Zach Abels (guitar), Mikey Margott (bass) and Brandon Fried (drums), who grew up in the Ventura County city of Thousand Oaks – specifically, the Newbury Park area. Their R&B influenced alternative rock immediately found a place in the music mainstream, with their song “Sweater Weather” becoming a breakout hit for the group. Their hip-hop influence was apparent on the mixtape #000000 & #FFFFFF, which featured appearances by rappers like YG, Danny Brown, Dej Loaf and French Montana, plus DJ Drama.
