As the release date approaches for their new album, Wrong Creatures, which is set to drop on January 12th, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have shared a new song from the record, the dreamy crush of “Echo.” Continuing to expand the bands signature sound, “Echo” features plenty of glittering guitars, slick bass grooves, and dreamy atmospherics, all tied together by a smooth set of vocals from Peter Hayes. The production layers plenty of strings on top of the mix, giving the track a sense of grandeur and elegance. Between snaking bass licks and tremolo-picked guitar leads, “Echo” fits right into the band’s sound.
“Echo” follows the release of “Haunt” and “Question of Faith” which see the band continuing to perfect their blend of shoegaze, post-rock, and orchestrated indie-rock.
Wrong Creatures will be the first album from B.R.M.C. since 2013’s Specter at the Feast, and the record was produced by Nick Launay, known for his work with Nick Cave and Arcade Fire.
Over the course of a twenty-year career, the band has become one of the mainstays in the indie underground, releasing a series of critically acclaimed albums that served as a modern update of many of the great shoegaze sounds of the early 90’s.
B.R.M.C. will be embarking on a tour of North America following the release of Wrong Creatures, and the band will hit most major metropolitan areas.
