Watch Dillinger Escape Plan Perform with Mike Patton and Original Lead Singer Dimitri Minakakis at Final Shows

Saying goodbye to a friend is heartbreaking. For fans of the progressive metal band, The Dillinger Escape Plan, those parting words were bittersweet as the band performed their final three consecutive shows these past few nights.

On December 29th, Before 2017 came to close, The Dillinger Escape Plan had themselves a final farewell show at Terminal 5 in New York City. The metal core band had been together for twenty chaotic years, and it all came to an end during the last few nights of 2017.  The two-sold out nights feature special guests including Faith No More’s Mike Patton who helped perform from their collaborative EP “Irony Is A Dead Scene along with past DEP members Dmitri Minakakis and Brian Benoit.

The final performance lasted 2 hours and had the band performing 19 songs from their discography of six LPs. The venue was jam-packed with longtime fans, and through each song, their love for DEP showed as they raised their voices and stomped their feet.

From the videos posted and fan pictures uploaded, it appeared that the final shows were not sad but joyful. Though fans were saying goodbye, they were also rejoicing in a career expanding twenty years.
