As part of their ongoing series of releases, which has included a newly updated version of their latest album The Stage, Avenged Sevenfold have shared new video for the song “Hail to the King” as reported by The PRP. The song is from their latest live album Live at the Grammy Museum, which features reworked acoustic versions of the band’s most well-known songs, with the group being backed by a string ensemble. Filmed on October 18th, 2017 at the Clive Davis Theater at the Grammy Museum, the record has already gotten a positive reception from the band’s ravenous fanbase.
The video is an excellent demonstration of Avenged Sevenfold’s range as the rampaging metal of the original track is transposed into an epic, orchestral sounding song, with plenty of neo-classical and flamenco guitar flourishes from Synyster Gates. While many have written the band off in the past as some trendy teen-metal and emo band, Avenged Sevenfold has developed into one of the most talented and musically diverse groups in the entire rock and metal world.
Avenged Sevenfold have had a highly productive year, releasing a slew of interesting cover songs and bonus tracks from the recording of their acclaimed record The Stage as well as opening for Metallica on their World Wired Tour. It appears that the group will continue their breakneck pace into next year as they have been announced on numerous festival lineups spanning the entire summer festival season.
