Black Needle Noise Releases New Video for “SyStem Bi” With Senegal’s Fakeba

Black Needle Noise has released a music video for “SyStem BI”. This follows the release of “Under My Skin” and “A Shiver of Want.”

According to the press release, in the song, Fakeba sings “in her native Wolof language, emitting radiant energy and a coherent and authentic fusion between genres and continents, merging tradition with futurism.” John Fryer had explained “I was very interested in having Fakeba sing in Wolif and complement the full beauty of the vocals as possible. I don’t want to have any limitations with Black Needle Noise and am interested in working with more singers from around the world, singing in their own language.” The video has footage from Gina Czarnecki’s film Spintex, while the other noises were by John Fryer. Fryer also adds to this by saying “”About this video, I watched Gina Czarnecki’s short film ‘Spintex’ and thought it would compliment the song perfectly, so i edited the footage and Gina thought it was a really nice re-interpretation of her movie. I hope more people will become aware of her amazing work.”

The video begins with a scene of the evening skies fading in and then fading out. The image shifts to children looking toward the camera and slow movements, then an image of two people dancing. As the dancing fades, the children’s faces come back on for a brief time and shifts back to people dancing. The video shows rhythm and joy in the movements taken. The video can be watched below.
