Citadel Music Festival Announces 2018 Lineup Featuring Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle and Massive Attack

Citadel Music Festival is a music event held in Berlin, Germany through the group Trinity Music beginning in 2005.  By 2006, Trinity Music decided to hold a more festival-like performance, allowing a lineup of bands to play instead of the only one band that played the year before. 2006 hosted groups such as Gregorian, Madness, and Billy Idol amongst others. After it’s slow two-year success, Trinity thought it was a good time to increase the number of concerts for 2007; giving it a hefty one-month span between May and September. Today, December 14th, Trinity Music has finally announced the 2018 lineup for this year’s Citadel Music Festival taking place between the months of June and July. The enormously eclectic lineup includes groups and solo acts like A Perfect Circle, Billy Idol, Jack Johnson, Lenny Kravitz, and 90’s very own Nine Inch Nails.

Recently, A Perfect Circle has been announced for multiple festivals and has also released a video for their song “The Doomed”, which will be featured on a new album. Billy Idol also has a large tour coming up in which he, too, will be performing at multiple festivals. Jack Johnson, however, has been working hard in the studio having recently released an album and playing an incredibly relaxed Hollywood Bowl set. Nine Inch Nails has also been working hard all over the place, writing music covers, playing tours as well as along the festival circuit and even having time to release an EP along the way.

Citadel is a once-in-a-lifetime experience featuring a full month worth of music, making it one of the longest music festivals to date. Take a German vacation and make this summer one you will never forget. Buy tickets to the best month you will have here.

Jeremy Bacharach: Born in Los Angeles, CA, Jeremy has always been a lover of music. After graduating Hamilton High School with a focus in technical theatre, Jeremy ventured forth to Portland, Oregon so as to study at Lewis and Clark College. After bouncing around majors, he decided to focus on music composition and theory for the purpose of understanding why he loves what he loves. Aside from his major studies in composition, Jeremy also partook in sutdying Jazz Guitar, choir, and piano for the pure joy (and the requirements). Being able to write about what has become the main focus in his life only brings more joy to Jeremy as he is extrmely grateful to be a part of mxdwn!
