As an “early Christmas present,” Best Kept Secret Festival has announced a chunk of their lineup on Facebook, for their 2018 installment. The festival began in 2013 and has occurred annually. On June 8th, 9th and 10th the Festival will return for their sixth installment in Beekse Bergen, Hilvarenbeek, in the Netherlands.
The National and LCD Soundsystem will headline both Saturday and Sunday. LCD Soundystem will be on hand to perform their unique version of electronic art rock which originated in Brooklyn in 2002. They will perform songs from their latest release, american dream. The National, will also play songs from their recent album, Sleep Well Beast. The National has been performing a special hybrid of folk-rock since they formed in 1999 in Cincinnati.
In addition to the headliners, CHVRCHES, Deerhunter, Father John Misty, Four Tet, Future Islands, RodriguezMusic, Spoon, The Internet, Ty Segall & The Freedom Band, Tyler the Creator, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Vince Staples have been announced as performers. Various other artists were announced recently, and supposedly more than eighty other bands will also be added in the coming months. The pre-sale begins next Saturday at 10 am on their website.
UPDATE (3/14): Best Kept Secret Festival has added a host of new artists to its lineup, most notably Slowdive, Mogwai and Wavves. All told there are 24 new artists that have been added to the lineup. Others include Let’s Eat Grandma, Bedouine, Gang of Youths, Hinds, Jay Som and Pale Waves.
