This past weekend, at KROQ’s Acoustic Christmas Show, Josh Homme kicked a photographer in the face. The Queens of the Stone Age frontman apparently looked down at Chelsea Lauren, who was snapping shots of their show for Shutterstock, and then proceed to smile knowingly and kick her violently.
According to Variety, the singer went on to act distastefully for the rest of the show. He purposefully cut his own face, slung inappropriate slurs at the audience and even insulted the band Muse, who was headlining. It is unclear what provoked this unwarranted behavior.
Homme has since issued two apologies to the photographer who was released from Cedars-Sinai hospital on Sunday. Although it is unclear whether Chelsea will sue the singer, the BBC has taken action. The BBC has suspended episodes of their children’s show, Bedtime Stories according to Far Out Magazine. The show is only suspending episodes which Homme has hosted. A BBC Spokesperson told Telegraph, that they won’t show, “new material or re-broadcast his previous story… until the matter is resolved.”
