All Four Members of Decapitated Released From Jail, Await Trial in January 2018

The continuing saga of Polish death metal band Decapitated, who has been accused of kidnapping and gang-raping female fan after an August 31st show in Spokane, WA has added another chapter as all four members of the band were released from jail as they await their trial, as reported by The PRP.

The band was initially arrested after a show in Los Angeles after the fan filed charges against them and they were then extradited back to Spokane and imprisoned with a hefty $100,000 bail. The band was granted a release earlier this week without having to pay the bond so long as they agreed to stay in Washington, turn in their passports, and sign waivers of extradition that would cause them to be sent back to Washington if they tried to flee to Poland. The band have all pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The victim alleges that the band forcibly kept her on their tour bus after the concert as each member of the group took turns raping her, a claim the band members denied, instead claiming that the woman came onto the bus of her own free will and was not forced to do anything.

The trial is now set to commence on January 16th.

Decapitated were in the midst of a tour supporting their latest release, the pummeling Anticult (you can read mxdwn’s review here).
