Miguel @ Riviera Theatre (3/5)

Following-up his Billboard-charting 2015 release Wildheart, Miguel will be taking-off on a massive, North American, ‘War & Leisure Tour’ to support his latest album. Lucky cities like Chicago, Atlanta, Portland, and Detroit will all have the chance to see the critically-acclaimed singer. This time, special guests SiR and Nonchalant Savant will be accompanying Miguel along the way.

Miguel is an award-winning R&B singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer, born and raised in The Golden State. Beginning his musical creativeness from the early age of 13, he has gone on to release 4 studio albums, earning multiple awards and nominations for his work. In 2013, he took home the title of Best R&B Artist at both the BET Awards and Soul Train Awards. He also nabbed a Grammy Award for his single “Adorn”.

The musical styles of Miguel are a balanced arrangement of R&B, funk, hip-hop, rock, and electronic. While citing icons like Prince, David Bowie, Kanye West, and James Brown as his influence, he clearly has a broad set of sounds that he grabs from for his music. His newest album features the sounds of artists like Travis Scott, J.Cole, and Rick Ross. Therefore, fans can expect these kinds of vibes, along with some eccentric vocals and a high-energy performance.
