Oberhofer Releases Frenetic New Song “Eye Lv U”

Oberhofer is on a roll and showing no signs of stopping. The indie-pop artist has released a slew of albums and singles this year. The Highway Patrol are gonna have trouble catching up with this artist. His newest single, “Eye Lv U,” is an upbeat anthem to a lover. The song is filled with fast-paced and frenetic percussion and a frenzied and synthesized melodic line that sounds like it belongs in an 80s arcade. Oberhofer himself sounds like Mr. Pac Man serenading Mrs. Pac Man.

The song is definitly in tune with his recent material. Since his second album, Chronovision, the young artist has proved he does not belong in this generation. His songs are filled with heavy homages to 80s new wave bands. Oberhofer must have been kicked out of A Flock of Seagulls or Duran Duran and teleported to our modern decade. His recent album, Oberhofer’s Ultimate Wedding Mixtape, is a cover album of 80s hits that serves as the soundtrack for the film Table 19.

His most recent album, Piano 12:34 to 1:34 AM Night of 11/5/17, Morning of 11/6/17:: Becoming A Cloud and Dying Off, Homes, Childhood, etc.has proved that Oberhofer can be versatile though. The album is filled with lush piano melodies that are simplistic and sweet. They are a far cry for his peppy pop songs. The album, and his recent single, “Eye Lv U,” can be listened to exclusively on Bandcamp.
