Stone Temple Pilots Releases New Video Of First Performance With New Lead Singer

Stone Temple Pilots have released a video of a first performance with the new singer Jeff Gutt. Jeff Gutt was revealed earlier this month, while also announcing the release of song with the new singer and an upcoming album. This follows Scott Weiland’s death in 2015.

According to Stereogum, the first gig was at the Troubadour in LA and the video was uploaded officially through SirusXM. Jeff Gutt vocals are somewhat similar to Scott Weiland. According to Consequence of Sound, Dean DeLeo explained the band’s decision to hire Gutt, saying “We wanted someone who would not only do our earlier songs justice, but would also write new songs and carve out a different path forward with us. It took some time, but we found our guy.”

There is video of the band playing “Still Remains” and a single that’s a part of the upcoming album “Meadow”. In the video of “Still Remains”, the artist brings a similar tone in vocals as Weiland. He also shows a lot of energy in “Meadow”. The performances are shown below.
