Black Label Society, heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, has had a very proactive year touring and gearing up for the release of their new album, Grimmest Hits. Today, they’ve released their new single “All That Once Shined,” filled with all of the classic doom and gloom we’ve come to know from the Black Sabbath-inspired group.
Just like frontman Zakk Wylde’s lone guitar solo that plays through the mid-way song break, Black Label Society’s penchant to pay homage to their heavy metal ancestors is prevalent throughout the song, especially when the group comes back in full force following the break. The accompanying video features the grim reaper displaying the lyrics on title cards and thrashing on his scythe like an air guitar.
