The Number Twelve Looks Like You Announces “12 Days of 12” 12th Anniversary Winter 2017 Tour Dates

Ever wanted to see a grindcore punk Frank Zappa? Well now you have the chance as New Jersey metal-melting rockers The Number Twelve Looks Like You have announced their winter tour in celebration of the twelfth anniversary of their second full-length album titled Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear. before the year concludes. This tour will include 12 dates across the United States and will begin in Philadelphia on December 12th. The “12 days of 12” tour will include two supporting acts. Acts include United Kingdom’s Rolo Tomassi and Good Fight Music’s band Cryptodira.

For those unfamiliar with the two supporting acts, Rolo Tomassi is an experimental rock band from England and are currently signed to label Holy Roar for UK releases and Ipecac Recordings for their US releases.

Recently signed to Good Fight Music, Cryptodira is a Death Metal band based in Long Island and has been taking the US by storm with their explosive yet jazz based music. For a full list of the “12 days of 12” tour dates see below. To see the new promo video just look below.

In Regards to the anniversary of Nuclear. No. Nuclear. founder Jesse Korman says that “this was our first full length album. This was my first time recording in front of numerous people which was terrifying. This was the first time we ever played an official CD release show, which was in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ and sold out. This was the first time I expressed real, true dark feelings about my life through a few songs. This was the first time I knew this band was going to be a big part of my life forever. Now, this is the first time we are playing the whole album from front to back since we created this 12 years ago.

Drummer Kadnar also states: “Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear. was the first album I heard from the Number Twelve Looks Like You. I was immediately consumed by their unique style and songwriting. I’ve been a fan ever since and to now have the opportunity to play this record that has influenced my playing for so long is surreal. I’m really excited to share this 12-year anniversary with my bandmates and the fans.

Also in support of their tour, The Number 12 have brought their holiday generosity up another step by taking 25% off their Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear. album through the enormous holiday sale of Silent Pendulum Records. The album will be sold in a multitude of formats including the previously sold out colored vinyl, so, if you know someone that still needs a special gift you don’t have to look any further! As described by famed music blog BrooklynVegan puts it: “truly spastic stuff that bounces seamlessly between harsh OG screamo, jazzy guitar, shredding solos, growly death, metal, early ‘00s metalcore, and gorgeous clean passages”. A true mix of emotion and virtuosic musicianship. See our review of Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear. here.

In order to put a band name together, the group decided that “The Number Twelve Looks Like You”, an episode from The Twilight Zone, was a perfect way to pay homage to their favorite show as well as finally deciding on a band title. Forming their band in Bergen County, New Jersey 2002, the band played and stayed together until 2010 where they decided on a small hiatus. As 2016 arrived, The Number Twelve came together again in an effort to create new music; an effort that has proven to be fruitful and necessary.

Like many hardworking bands, The Number Twelve took a long hiatus before they realized they needed to make music together again. Last year, in support of The Dillinger Support Plan’s European tour, Twelve reformed and have since been shredding their guitars together like they used to. The lineup of the band retains its founding members Jesse Korman and Alexis Pareja but also brings in new recruits such as DJ Scully on bass, Michael Kadner on drums and even both member of Black Table. A tour really unlike any other.
