Romeo Santos @ United Center (2/28)

The chart-topping, multiplatinum, and award-winning superstar Romeo Santos, has finally announced his 2018 “Golden Tour”. After teasing the tour, he finally has fully-disclosed the dates and ticket information to his enormous and anxious fanbase. The tour will include 18 different cities spanning across North America, such as Atlanta, Miami, Houston, and of course Chicago in February.

The talented bilingual singer/songwriter came from humble beginnings in the Bronx, New York. In the 2000s, Romeo Santos pushed the group Aventura to fame as the lead vocalist and co-founder. With the group disbanding in 2011, Santos began his soon-to-be historic solo career, beginning with first solo hit “You”. The song was featured on the memorable debut album Formula Vol. 1. The now 5x platinum album was full of smash hits, featuring attention-drawing names like Usher, Pitbull and Lil Wayne.

After selling 40 million albums, and 100 million singles, the Latin pop sensation has the most #1 hit songs in this decade by a Latin artist. Not only that, but the follow-up album to the classic Formula series beat its predecessor. The album Formula Vol. 2 is now certified diamond, after reaching #1 in several countries. With accolades such as these, it is safe to say that the 17-time Billboard Latin Music Awards winner has truly earned the title “The King of Bachata”.

Santos’ sound has been known to blend bachata with R&B and hip-hop. He used this formula with Aventura when he helped push the bachata sound to new heights. With his unique reggaetón vibration, Santos has had no issue with creating catchy, ear-pleasing, and danceable hits throughout his career.

After Rolling Stone proclaimed one of Santos’ summer tours to be the best of that year, when he filled Yankee Stadium with 50,000 people twice, it is safe to say that fans attending the “Golden Tour” will not be let down. Tickets for the tour will go on sale Firday November 24th, so be ready, they are sure to go fast.
