Health Releases New Song With Nolife “Hard To Be A God”

Two years ago saw Los Angeles dance-rockers Health release their third studio album, Death Magic. Since then, the band has been releasing remixes and cover songs to keep fans hanging on. Today, they’ve teamed up with Nolife, a New York producer on a new single titled “Hard To Be A God.”

Earlier this year, Health shared their Disco3 remix album, cover song of New Order’s “Blue Monday,” which can be heard on the Atomic Blonde soundtrack. With the year coming to a close, loyal fans of the band have another treat in store for them. In a press statement, the band said about the track: “If you like weird shit, this shit is for you. If not, then not so much.”

It’s hard not to like the new track. The collaboration is unique and haunting and it has everything that makes the band a favorite, brooding monotone vocals and raw synth that grabs hold and refuses to let go. For someone who keeps a distance on this genre of music, the song was quickly repeated a few extra times.

Nolife delivered his You Won’t Survive the State of New York EP back in March through Young Turks and Health’s last full-length album hit stores back in 2015.
