Morrissey’s run of shows in his U.S. tour didn’t last long. After three dates, Morrissey has already bailed. During an outdoor performance in Paso Robles, CA., he suddenly pulled the plug because the outdoor temperature, which reportedly was around the 40’s, was too cold and the venue’s heating system for the stage wasn’t working properly (he should come play in Chicago weather).
Morrissey was set to appear at the Vina Robles Amphitheatre in central California, but suddenly canceled his performance at the 3,000-seat arena. According to disgruntled fans, though, the temperature was around 47 degrees, chilly, but not unbearable, when the announcement was made.
A video surfaced over social media where the amphitheater’s PA system announces: “Due to an inoperable heating system on stage, tonight’s engagement is postponed.”
The speaker went on to announce that a new date will be rescheduled, though naturally that didn’t sit well with fans. Morrissey has become synonymous with random and haphazard cancellations. This past spring, he canceled a show in San Antonio after his voice went out. Then last year his U.S. tour was hit with rescheduling and cancellations ater his keyboard player fell ill.
Morrissey has been releasing music as of late, including a new video for “Spent the Day in Bed,” and “I Wish You Lonely.”
