William Patrick Corgan Releases New Video for “Aeronaut” from First-Ever Virtual Reality Experience

William Patrick “Billy” Corgan has released a music video for “Aeronaut”. The song is a part of the recent album Ogilala.

The album is described to have “distinctive vocals and melodies across a sparse, but rich palette of acoustic guitar, piano, and strings.” According to the press release, the video is a 2D view of a virtuality reality experience. The video was created in a 3D world that was imagined by artist and filmmaker, Danny Bittman and created with the help of Viacom NEXT and Isobar team.

The video zooms into the artist performing on the piano behind an empty black scene. As the video continues, white sparkles shine in the background. That scene turns red and fades to different colors to create a calming scene of trees surrounded by a body of water. The scene of the environment turns into the scene of the city. The video is shown below.

The artist has been very active recently with his cover of Wrecking Ball, performed as part of tribute to David Bowie, and released a music video for “The Spaniards”. The artist has also been involved politically with his feud with Anderson Cooper.
