Sufjan Stevens Releases Three New Songs From Call Me By Your Name Soundtrack

Sufjan Stevens has released three songs, “Mystery Of Love” and “Visions Of Gideon,” and a Doveman remix of Age Of Adz’s “Futile Devices.” According to Stereogum, these three songs will be a part of the soundtrack for Call Me By Your Name, a film directed by Luca Guadagnino.

Call Me By Your Name is a romantic coming-of-age drama film. The plot is between a 17-year-old Italian-American Elio Perlman and his father’s American student, Oliver. As they develop their relationship, they bond over their sexuality, their Jewish heritage and the Italian landscape.

“Mystery of Love” has a repeated soft tune with a whisper type of vocal. “Visions of Gideon” has the same type of vocals but there a touch of darkness with the use of the piano. “Futile Devices” has a faster pace in comparison to the other two tracks released. The songs can be listened to below.
