Noise Pop Festival Announces 2018 Lineup Featuring Tune-Yards, Real Estate and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Noise Pop Festival has announced the lineup for their 2018 event from February 19th to 25th, 2018. The festival will take place at the San Francisco Bay Area. This year’s lineup features Tune-Yards, who has announced a winter tour and new album I Can Feel You Creep Into My Private Life, Real Estate, who has postponed tour dates, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, who have announced new album Wrong Creatures and released new song “Haunt”.

This festival is well known as a indie music, arts and film festival. This year marks the festival’s 26th year of organization, as it was established in San Francisco. In the first year of the festival, it was known as a “5 band for 5 dollars show” and was held for one day. During that year, the festival was called the S.F. Noise Pop Festival. Previous artists that have performed include The White Stripes, Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, The Flaming Lips and The Shins.

Phase one of the lineup are Tune-Yards are the following: Real Estate, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Parquet Courts, San Fermin with The Magik*Magik Orchestra, WHY?, Ben UFO, Superchunk, Mount Eerie, Rostam, Cuco, Geographer, Bully, Girlpool, Enter Shikari, Japanese Breakfast, Jay Som, Bahamas, No Age, Bruno Major, Night Beats, Shallou, Sean Rowe, Carla Dal Forno, Single Mothers, Milk Teeth, Melkbelly, Dick Stusso, and Hand Habits.

The festival flyer is shown below. According to The Bay Bridged, tickets started going on sale since October 27th at 10 am PST. Tickets are available on the website.

UPDATE (1/13): The festival has announced phase two and three of the lineup. Phase two includes Built To Spill, Waxahatchee, The Album Leaf, Alex Cameron, Dengue Fever, Amy Shark, Shamir, The Coathangers, Jeff Rosenstock, The Hotelier, Gerd Janson, Grails, Crooked Colours, Inara George, Palehound, Weaves, Miya Folick, Ha Ha Tonka, Wildling, The Weather Station, Summer Twins, Death Valley Girls, Lemuria, Mom Jeans, Mozhgan, Oso Oso, Joy Again, ROAR, Winter, The Flytraps, Feels, Roya, Hazey Eyes. Phase three adds more DJ sets along with the wide variety of different genres. Phase three adds on by including artists such as Ty Dolla $ign, Madlib, Jay Electronica, Toro Y Moi, Doug Martsch, Shabazz Palaces, Langhorne Slim, Tei Shi, Sevdaliza, Jessy Lanza, Zomby, Caleborate, The Fresh & Onlys, G Perico, Racquet Club, Mister Heavenly, Sudan Archives, Florist, Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, Meg Baird, Ian Sweet, Mary Lattimore, Gilligan Moss, Twain, Chasms, Iman Europe, Special Explosion, The Peacers, George Cessna and GDJYB.
