From Dolly Parton, who performed “Islands In The Stream” with Rogers one last time, to Lionel Richie covering “Lady,” a wide variety of famous musicians and guests performed during the show. One particularly notable guest performance was done by The Flaming Lips, who covered “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love to Town,” the title track from Rogers’ 1969 record with the First Edition.
