Cold Waves Festival Los Angeles Announces 2018 Lineup Featuring Stabbing Westward, Revolting Cocks and Meat Beat Manifesto

With the end of the year fast approaching, there is no better time to start making plans for the new year. For music fans, it is scheduling their festival calendars. Today, the Cold Waves Festival announced their 2018 lineup and like every year for the past seven, fans should waste no time in getting their tickets now.

The 2018 lineup for the Cold Waves Festival include; Stabbing Westward, Revolting Cocks, Front Line Assembly and Meat Beat Manifesto just to name a few. Stabbing Westward is returning to the Cold Waves Festival stage after previously playing last year‘s event.

The festival was born in 2012 as it started as a memorial concert for a fallen Chicago musician and sound man Jamie Duffy. When it first happened, it was a single night event in September that featured 14 bands serving as a stepping stone for what is now a multi-day festival. According to the festival’s Facebook page, it was “more of an awakening… a rebirth… a breaking wave. The success of the show pushed us to build it into an annual event.” That first September event which was an evening to raise money for Jamie’s family has flourished, grown into a celebration of Chicago’s relationship with industrial music, and a passionate way to fundraise for suicide awareness and prevention causes.

Seven years of bringing awareness as well as celebration, 2018 will mark the first year that the festival will be held in Los Angeles, California and will feature some of Cold Waves favorites as well as some new faces. The event will be held at the Regent Theater in downtown LA which is a perfect place, it features a massive stage, balcony and an outside smoking area and separate bar which is important when attending the festival.

Ticket sales and more information about Cold Waves Festival and the rest of the 2018 lineup can be looked at on the Cold Waves Festival’s official website.
