Goblin, who has reformed and released “Book of Skulls”, has announced a reissue of Suspiria to add on to the celebration of its fortieth anniversary. This follows their recently announced US tour.
According to Consequence of Sound, there will be two editions of the soundtrack released on Halloween: a standard edition and a “Peacock” edition. Both will include the reproduction of the soundtrack as an LP, along with a 10 inch red record that have some tracks that were never published. There will also be a documentary with interviews with David Argento, who dealt with the directing and helped with production of the 1970 horror film, and Goblin. There is also a 64 page book in Italian and in English that are filled with analysis of the film and the soundtrack.
Specifically, the Peacock version has a foam interior design and has a carved Suspiria logo along with a handcrafted peacock feather stiletto. This version will have 150 copies to sell.
