Yeah Yeah Yeahs Announce Reissue of Fever to Tell for October 2017 Release and Share Previously Unreleased Song “Shake It Out”

Indie rock trio Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced that they will be releasing a newly remastered reissue of their seminal 2003 debut album, Fever to Tell on October 20th via Interscope Records. The album will be released on four different formats: a standard vinyl LP, a limited edition deluxe box set, a digital deluxe box set, and a standard cd remaster.

The box set releases will feature a treasure trove of rarities in the form of B-sides, unreleased demos from the band’s early period, and a couple of never released tracks. Also, the box set will contain a unique hardcover book with exclusive photographs as well as a plethora of unreleased videos from that time, including a documentary of the trio’s first tour of the UK in 2003.

While the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been on an extended hiatus since 2014, it appears that this reissue campaign marks the return of the band to active status, with a string of tour dates being announced for this fall to coincide with their appearance at the Sound on Sound Festival. The band did make short appearance at a Tribeca Film Festival after-party last year, but aside from that, the group has not performed on stage since 2013, though the band members have been active during their hiatus. Lead singer Karen O released her first solo album few years ago while guitarist Nick Zinner stayed active in his hardcore band Head Wound City.

You can listen to the previously unreleased song “Shake It” in the player below.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have also announced few additional tour dates to go along with the reissue announcement. These new shows will be in addition to previously announced festival appearances.
