POND is a psychedelic rock band from Perth, Australia. The band formed in 2008. Throughout the years since POND started, there have been members from Tame Impala that were former POND members. The current members of POND are Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson, Joe Ryan and Jamie Terry. Front-man Allbrook had contributed to both bands in the past, but is only apart of POND now. Watson is a part of both bands. Front-man of Tame Impala, Kevin Parker, used to play with POND but now helps them produce records.

This groovy band has released seven records, one EP and several singles. POND recently released their seventh album, The Weather, this past May via Marathon Artists; Parker helped the band produce this album. With Parker helping POND out with producing, there is definitely similar Tame Impala sounds throughout their songs.
