Belle And Sebastian Releases Glasgow Based New Video for “We Were Beautiful” Directed By Blair Young

Set in the city it was produced and recorded in, Belle and Sebastian’s recent single “We Were Beautiful,” follows a smorgasbord of different folks in Glasgow, Scotland while they live their lives on a casual Saturday. The cinematic realistic vision for the video was conceptualized from the mind of director Blair Young from The Forest of Black. Check out the four and a half minute music video below.

Belle and Sebastian recently finished up a tour around North America, which included festivals such as Outside Lands in San Francisco, CA and Osheaga in Montreal. Starting in Feb. 2018, they will be back on the road for a month to carry out their European tour dates.

With so much recent activity going on and a new song out to the public, some fans might speculate new music isn’t too far on the horizon. Back in February of this year, Belle and Sebastian teased new album when they released their 2017 tour dates and their most recent press release stated, “While we can’t yet say what these Euro dates will be supporting, we suggest keeping an eye out in early October for more Belle and Sebastian news regarding forthcoming new music!” With only six more days of September left, it seems like fans will have a lot more than excessive chocolate and sweets to look forward to next month.

I was raised in the bay area, and am thrilled to be living back in California. Catch me at your local music festival, because there's nothing better than laying back in the grass and listening to your favorite bands or discovering new ones.
