Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the San Francisco based rock band, is planning to release a new album early next year. The band which consists ofPeter Hayes (vocal, guitar, harmonica), Robert Levon Been (vocal, bass, guitar), and Leah Shapiro (drums) have revealed that their new album, titled Wrong Creatures will be set to be released on January 12th. This album will mark the band’s first record since Specter At The Feast back in 2013.
“It’s a crazy making machine, it can chew you up good, i mean we literally toured till the wheels came off and Leah’s brain literally started leaking out of her head” says Been. “I know i’ve battled on and off with mental depression, and Pete’s head never came with any proper instructions.”
The band has been making music since 1998 and though we are in a world dominated by pop, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club ceases to bow down to the new age music scene. According to Been, “We are truly an island – come hell or high water, so it’s usually best to dress accordingly. Though i’m not sure what the proper attire is when drowning in fire. But leather usually goes with everything.”
Wrong Creatures was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Arcade Fire). The album is available for pre-sale purchase starting today wherever digital music is sold as well as directly through the band’s online store. Their new single, “Little Thing Gone Wild” is also available individually and those who purchase a pre-sale copy will immediately receive the song for their listening pleasures.

Starting January 15th of 2018, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club will hit the road for their North American tour that include performances in Washington DC, Boston, Brooklyn, Los Angeles and many more. The band will also kick off a select European tour starting this fall beginning October 23rd. Fans can purchase pre-sale tickets for their North American tour today and general sale will begin on September 15th. BRMC has partnered with the organization, Plus 1 for the tour where $1 of each ticket will be donated to War Child. A organization that helps support programs aiding women and children dislocated and impacted by war, political unrest, terrorism and poverty.
Diving further into the organization, War Child strives on the idea that no child should be part of war. They believe in a world where a life of a child is not torn apart by war. It is an international charity that takes a long-term approach to development, working with and investing time in war-affected communities to help end the cycle of poverty and violence.
