VUUR Releases Flashy New Video for “My Champion – Berlin”

VUUR is the new band from one of hard rock’s most esteemed vocalist, Anneke van Giersbergen. They have a new album on the way, set for an October 20, 2017 release and today they share the first video from the new album, for the song “My Champion – Berlin.” As far as the video goes, it is a simple yet well-produced affair, with the band members performing the song inside what looks like an illuminated rotunda. The camera zooms and pans to each member as they ecstatically perform the second song to be released from In This Moment We Are Free – Cities. The album will be released on InsideOut Music.

According to TeamRock, van Giersbergen had this to say about the newly released song: “This song is about Berlin after World War II. The goddess on the Berlin Victory Column was raised to commemorate military victories, but in the song the city speaks to her and is asking her for help to overcome troubled times.”

van Giersbergen and company announced the formation of VUUR in December of 2016, and then few months later posted about their first studio action. In June, fans of the singer got the chance to hear the first music from the upcoming new project when VUUR released their first single from In This Moment We Are Free – Cities, a track titled “Days Go By – London.”

The band teased every song from the new album when they made the official announcement of its release back at the beginning of August.
