Tove Lo Announces New Album Blue Lips [lady wood II] for Fall 2017 Release and Unveils New Song “Disco Tits”

Tove Lo is following up her Lady Wood with a fall release of Blue Lips, her new album out, and today she drops off its glistening and glittery new single, “Disco Tits.” And you probably don’t want to play this at work.

The shimmering new track marks her reunion with longtime collaborator the Struts, as well as her production team for her hits such as “Cool Girl,” “Habits (Stay High)” and “Talking Body.” Accented synths strike on top of a bouncy and rumbling bass beat, and Tove Lo has a simple mantra “I’m sweat rom head to to/I’m wet through all my clothes/I’m fully charged, nipples are hard/I’m ready to go.” The fun new track is a caution-to-the-wind dance track that will get you dancing up on your boo in the club. In a press release, Tove Lo expresses similar thoughts. “Disco Tits is about losing yourself with your new found love. Naïve, excited, no consequences. The happiness in the haze I’m feelin right now.”

Next week, Tove Lo heads out for the final months of her North American tour which includes weekends at Austin City Limits, as well as time supporting Coldplay, with whom she featured on the track “Fun.”

Tove Lo also recently released a short film entitled “Fire Fade.” Directed by Tim Erem, the film features tracks from Lady Wood including “True Disaster,” “Influence,” “Lady Wood,” and several others (Rhianna’s “Work” even makes an appearance) and is the sequel to her other short film, Fairy Dust. Tove Lo also debuted new song entitled “The Struggle” at this year’s Coachella and covered “Bloody Mother F***ing A**hole” alongside Lorde at the Osehaga Festival. Check out the new track below and keep an eye out for more information about the upcoming album.
