DOOM and Alchemist came together to create a new song as a part of Adult Swim’s single program. An ominous track produced called “Doomsayer” is now available to stream via Adult Swim. “Doomsayer” is just one part of an ongoing series of singles that MF DOOM and Adult Swim have teamed up to release over the span of 12 weeks from today.
The Cartoon Network program, Adult Swim, was given a folder from hip-hop master MF DOOM. It’s called The Missing Notebook Rhymes featuring original songs by DOOM, and collaborations with DOOM and other artists like KMD and Jay Electronica. The Missing Notebook Rhymes originally contained 15 never-heard-before “notebooks” or tracks. Since that day, on August 7, Cartoon Network decided to have Adult Swim make this album a part of their ongoing singles program. Three have been released so far. That means one new single will be released every week for the next 12 weeks.
The song “Doomsayer” is the third week’s release from notebook #2. The first week’s release on Adult Swim was “Negus” a song by rapper Sean Price that features DOOM. It is a part his upcoming album Imperious Rex.
The second release from The Missing Notebook Rhymes came with the announcement of KMD’s new album. The single by KMD, “True Lightyears” features DOOM and Jay Electronica. This is going to be the first song that has been heard from their upcoming album Crack in Time. KMD are working with Metalface/Nature Sounds to release this record. This is KMD’s first album in almost 25 years.
Now that week three is out of the way “Doomsayer” awaits the rest of The Missing Notebook Rhymes. The tracks can be heard via Gas Drawls or Adult Swim.
