Syd Releases New Song For The Eclipse “Bad Dreams/No Looking Back”

With the arrival of the solar eclipse shown throughout the United States, Syd has released a song “Bad Dreams/No Looking Back”, which follows the release of Fin after about six months. This song was shared to get a further feeling of the rare event.

The song was produced by Gwen Bunn and Ricci Riera, with Bunn producing the first half and Riera working on the second half. This is also said to be a feature in the upcoming soundtrack Always Never Home. According to Pitchfork, Syd tweeted the release of the song saying “Play this while you watch the eclipse”.

The song has a slow repetitive R&B mix that starts out in the beginning and becomes a smooth intro for the vocals. The vocals bring a calming aura with its tone and echos placed together. The lyrics in all talk about a friends with benefit situation, expressing that if the two were to get close then it there would be “no looking back” as stated in the titled.
