Pop-star, who is best known for her sass and free spirit has shown the world her true-self, growth, and transformation over the years. This change, either for good or bad, can be seen through her albums as they’ve always reflected who she is and what she’s living. San Francisco will have the opportunity to have this distinctive artist perform at the Masonic and presence Kesha’s renovation this October!
Kesha (Ke$ha), is a pop-star, rapper, singer and songwriter born in L.A., and raised in Nashville but at the age of only 17, she decided to leave high-school to return to her birth-city to help kick-start her career as a singer. After meeting Dr. Luke, Kesha contributed to a few background vocals with the Veronicas in “This Love,” and with Britney Spears in “Lace and Leather.” In 2009, she finally contributed vocals to Flo Rida’s song “Right Round” which was produced by Dr. Luke and became a number one hit on Hot 100 hits.
Soon after, in 2010, Kesha signed to RCA and debuted with her Animal album which topped the Billboard 200. The album’s singles can be best described as a party beat kind and very danceable; in fact, one of the album’s singles “TiK ToK” became a huge success worldwide. However, the artist’s success continued to grow, her “We R Who We R” single became her second single chart-topper and “Die Young” became a global hit as well. Kesha debuted her second album in 2012 and made it to the Top Ten albums chart with the singles “Crazy Kids,” “Timber” and “C’Mon.” Nonetheless, it was “Timber” whom she featured along with Pitbull, that became Kesha’s third top-one hit and helped her sell-out her 2013 Tour in the U.S.
Unfortunately, 2014 was a rough year for the artist as she dealt with an eating disorder and also sued Dr. Luke for sexual assault, harassment, emotional abuse, among other things. Nevertheless, her return to the stage was strong as ever as she performed at Coachella along with Zedd for their song “True Colors”. Soon after she completed her world tour, Kesha returned to the studio to finish her project LP, Rainbow with the lead and dare I say huge success “Praying” single.
The pop and rapper artist will be performing in San Francisco this October 31st at the Masonic! So TiK ToK, get your costumes ready and your craziest-self because this Halloween the party’s where Kesha’s at!
