Alice Glass, Canadian singer-songwriter, is the co-founder and frontwoman of electronic band Crystal Castles. It was during 2014 when Alice Glass began her solo career. Alice Glass recently released a new single this August, “Without Love” via Loma Vista Records. The Toronto based singer has continued to pursue her solo career appearing at music festivals. While with Crystal Castles, Alice had a very successful career. In October 2014, Alice Glass left the band for personal reasons.
Crystal Castles first official single, “Alice Practice” was released in 2006. Alice Glass co-wrote the song and eventually got the band signed with Merok Records. The band went to play their first live show in their hometown of Toronto. Crystal Castles released their studio albums under smaller labels of Universal Music Group. Alice Glass has been known for her love of performing live. On serval occasions, Alice Glass has performed while seriously injured. Crystal Castles was shut down at the Glastonbury 2008 after Alice Glass climbed one of the speakers during the band’s set.
Alice Glass’ departure from the band she helped form was a huge shock to her fans. Later, Alice Glass stated she left the band because she didn’t feel it aligned with her beliefs anymore. Alice Glass would go on to argue publicly with her previous bandmates about her departure. Alice Glass debuted her official single, “Stillbirth” in 2015. In August 2017, Alice released a new single, “Without Love”.
