Dresden Dolls Announce Short Run of Fall 2017 Tour Dates

The Boston duo Amanda Palmer and Brian Viglione, known as The Dresden Dolls, are back and ready to rock this October. Tickets are expected to go fast for The Dresden Dolls’ short four day tour. They will be playing in Washington D.C. and Boston. The first show is going to be Halloween night at the 9:30 club in Washington D.C. Then they are going to Boston for three shows at the Paradise.

Both of these venues are relatively small compared to their 5,000 people a night shows last year. they wanted to throw some intimacy back into the mix. This means that there are a very limited number of tickets available. This is for all of the fans who have dreamed to one day see them playing in a sweaty rock club. With only four shows coming up, that dream could come true. Tickets can be found below.

Those tickets are going on sale tomorrow at 10 am (eastern time) for the show in Washington D.C.

The tickets for all three Boston  shows go on sale Friday, August 18 at 10 am (eastern time). Each date has their own link

Amanda Palmer is ready to be back in her element. In Amanda Palmer’s full announcement of her tour saying:

“THE DRESDEN DOLLS RETURNETH, and this time we mean fuckin’ business. we’re gonna play in our old stomping grounds and then go show donald trump and the rest of the clowns in that swamp what the fuck is up.”

They are going to be playing new and older songs and these are the only shows they plan on playing.  Amanda Palmer also mentions that they don’t have plans to play shows in 2018…so this is it.  She said:

“we are going to be playing old and new stuff.

we are going to be playing our hearts out.

and i’ll say it again: these are our only shows this year, and we don’t currently have any plans to play shows in 2018…this is IT, mofos.”

Last year they played in New York and Boston at two venues that held 5,000 people, but this is not what they were going for this year. Since 2008 the duo has been working together and have played countless shows together. For the dates this year, they wanted to get smaller and connect with their audience more.

Besides her work with The Dresden Dolls, Amanda Palmer started working for a kick starter website Patreon where she got a lot of attention after she posted a stream of the Brooklyn performance for fans.  After the video went viral on the Patreon website and shortly afterward, it was posted on Youtube for everyone to enjoy.
