Enslaved Blends Mesmerizing Prog With Jarring Extreme Metal And A Folky Atmosphere In New Video for “Storm Son”

Norwegian metal band Enslaved have released a new video for their epic 10 minute long track, “Storm Son.” The track is taken from their upcoming album E, set to be released on October 13th on Nuclear Blast Records. E is the first release from the legendary band since 2015’s acclaimed In Times.

Musically speaking “Storm Son” is a progressive metal epic that blends many different metal styles into a thrilling and intriguing song. Beginning slowly with gentle, clean guitars, the piece eventually cranks up the distortion and aggression, burning into blistering metal that cuts between chorally influenced progressive rock and harsh death metal.

The visually stunning music video was directed by Josh Graham, how has done video work for Soundgarden and Neurosis in the past. Combining computer generated graphics with long shots of desolate landscapes, the video acts as a perfect accompaniment to the song.

E tracklist:

01. Storm Son
02. The River’s Mouth
03. Sacred Horse
04. Axis Of The Worlds
05. Feathers Of Eolh
06. Hiindsiight
