Fall Out Boy @Oracle Arena (11/14)

San Fran residents and tourists, the news is, Fall Out Boy is coming to town this November, so I guess Christmas arrived early this year huh? The band will be performing at the Oracle Arena on November 14th, and you better prepare yourselves because it is going to be awesome.

Fall Out Boy surfaced in the early 2000’s as an emo-pop band based in Wilmette (Chicago). The band’s lineup consists of Wentz (bass) – who’s also married to Ashley Simpson, – Joe Trohman (lead guitar), Stump (vocals), and Andy Hurley (drums).
Relying on their talent and their self-marketing techniques, the quartet began to sell-out various arenas and started captioning the eyes of the world. In 2001, the Chicago-based band debuted, and ever since, its punk tunes have been attracting tons of fans to shout along.
The band’s “From Under the Crock” album earned a double platinum, a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and two of their songs (“Sugar We’re Going Down” & “Dance, Dance”) reached the Top Ten Hits in 2005. However, the band didn’t want to stop there, and in 2008 they attempted to enter the Guinness Book of World Records by becoming the first band to perform in all seven continents. Unfortunately, the quartet had to cancel their show in Antarctica, but that didn’t keep them from entering the Guinness Book of World Records as the first band to do the most interviews for twenty-four hours.
Sadly, for both the band and the fans, such perfection couldn’t last forever, as the members of the band decided to take a break in 2009, but promised to return to the game eventually. However, it wasn’t until 2013 Fall Out Boy reunited and came back as stronger as ever with one of their best pop punky singles “Save Rock and Roll,” which was released April 1st and debuted as the number one song on U.S. charts.

Now that we’re lucky enough to have Fall Out Boy back, we’re testing our luck because they will be bringing them pop-punk tunes here in San Francisco, and for that, we should be grateful and cease the opportunity to see them live!
