JD McPherson Announces New Album Undivided Hearts & Soul for October 2017 Release and Unveils New Song “Lucky Penny”

JD McPherson returns with new album, Undivided Heart & Soul on Octoer 6, 2017. The 11-song set was recorded at the RCA Studio B in Nashville, Tennessee. This is the first album by McPherson in the last three years. His last album Let The Good Times Roll was critically acclaimed and featured in the Rolling Stone as a timeless, forward-thinking rock & roll album.

“Lucky Penny” is his new single that was released by NPR Music yesterday.

After getting a glimpse of McPerson’s new album, NPR said his music masters rock and soul fundamentals and his voice moves in wild ways in his songs. The entire band gives off a risky energy.

The album features collaborations with Parker Millsap, Butch Walker, and Aaron Lee Tasjan. In addition to his longtime band members Doug Corcoran on guitar, Raynier Jacob Jacildo on keys, Jimmy Sutton on bass, and Jason Smay on drums, the album also features guest appearances by Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs, Greenhornes), Jess Wolfe & Holly Laessig of Lucius, and Nicole Atkins.
