Cat Power Announces Her 10th Album Is “Ready To Go”

Cat Power says her tenth studio album is completed and “ready to go” in a post on Instagram. The last time the singer released a full-length project was in 2012 with Sun. Power has released nine albums since her debut Dear Sir in 1995.

According to The Fader, the singer has been making music over the last five years by collaborating with artists such as Cassius, Pharrell Williams, and J Mascis, touring with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, voicing singing gorilla on the Adult Swim show, China IL, and even narrating the Janis Joplin documentary, Janis: Little Girl Blue.

Cat Power has not yet revealed the title or release date for her upcoming album.

Cat Power is scheduled to perform at Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, Wisconsin alongside Faye Webster and The Dove.
