Noise rocker Ty Segall has been incredibly prolific this year and that trend has continued as he has announced the release of a new EP, Fried Shallots, with part of the proceeds being donated to the ACLU as reported by Brooklyn Vegan.

This marks Segall’s third release of 2017 and it can be purchased on his Bandcamp page. There are no free listens so to hear it you will have to buy the EP. For just $5 the EP is worth the price as it sees Segall working through his particularly interesting blend of rampaging noise-influenced rock. The EP will also see physical release on 12″ vinyl on August 25th via Drag City Records. Segall has been in and out of the studio over the past couple of years, pumping out albums and EP’s in addition to plenty of collaborations. To say that he has been prolific would be an understatement as he has been involved in releasing six different recordings over the past two years with plenty of other material seemingly down the pipeline.

One track has been made available to listen to for free, the spacey guitar-driven rocker, “Big Man” which you can listen to in the player embedded below. Sonically speaking “Big Man” features many of the same sonic similarities present in his most recent single “Break A Guitar” but with a much more direct and minimally-processed sound.

Segall and his band will be keeping up their brisk touring schedule throughout the rest of the summer, zig-zagging between North America and Europe. The tour dates are posted below:
