The Revolution, Price’s backing band, invited fellow headliner Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, who just performed at Coachella, to sing the Prince song “Erotic City”- The B-Side to “Let’s Go Crazy.” The Revolution was formed by Prince in 1979, and they made three albums together- Purple Rain, Around The World In A Day, and Parade. The band broke up in 1986 to pursue other projects, but recently have been performing a few shows together since reuniting after Prince’s death. After the success of the first shows they performed together, including one at the First Avenue Night Club, where part of Prince’s Purple Rain movie was filmed, four members of The Revolution have been on a memorial tour in honor of their late front man. Vernon, who released an album late last year, just finished performing with Jeff Tweedy and debuted new music with Big Red Machine at the Eaux Claires Festival. Watch their rendition below.
