According to Stereogum, Mister Heavenly is teasing a new album as the super group created an Instagram account, and post a single video on it. This video was released three days ago. The album will be following the band’s last album, Out of Love.
Mister Heavenly is a indie rock super group that was formed in 2010. The members include Man Man’s Honus Honus, Island’s Nicholas Thorburn, and Modest Mouse/The Shins’ Joe Plummer. The debut album, Out of Love, was released in August 2011 after late recording in 2010 and finishing a line of tour dates. While the artists have come together to start group, they have also started projects individually and with their bands. Honus Honus worked on a a new solo album Use Your Delusion in 2016. Nicholas Thorburn had also been working on his second solo album City of Quartz, as Nick Diamond in 2015 while also working with his band to release Taste and Should I Remain Here, At Sea?, which would be released the following year. Joe Plummer is currently on tour with the Modest Mouse, and has released Heartworms with The Shins.
The back artwork that’s shown in the video may be the album artwork for Mister Heavenly and portrayed with a static effect. This video includes a sample of the new music, along with “Mister Heavenly” and “coming soon”. After these words, the Polyvinyl logo follows. The video can be watched below.
