GWAR Member “Kills” Stick To Your Guns Singer Filling in For Jamey Jasta During Hatebreed Vans Warped Tour Set

Hatebreed

In a sad turn of events, lead singer of band Hatebreed Jamey Jasta, had to temporarily leave the Vans Warped Tour to attend his late grandmothers funeral. Fortunately for the crowd in Holmdel, NJ it did not mean going without a show. To fill in, Bonesnapper of GWAR made sure to bring his gory tactics to the stage to shock and entertain. Midway through the set, decked out in elaborate battle armor, Bonesnapper took to the stage to slit the throat of Stick to Your Guns Singer Jesse Barnett with a massive prop sword. He then swooped up the microphone and began to fill in the now “deceased” singers’ place. Check out videos from the gnarly performance below.

Other guest fill-ins included frontman of The Acacia Strain Vincent Bennett, Municipal Waste’s Tony Foseta, and Emmure’s Frankie Palmeri. Fans who are still looking forward to seeing Jamie Jasta finish out the door, don’t fret because he’ll be back on the Warped Tour for the next scheduled performance in Cuyahoga, OH on July 18.

GWAR was recently cited by Kathy Griffin in the recent controversy in her photographs holding Donald Trump’s severed head. In the recent past, GWAR made a music video showing a bloody murdered Donald Trump, and Kathy Griffin noted how their music video hadn’t received the type of negative attention as her photo-shoot. In a not so surprising response, one of the members of GWAR, Beefcake made sure fans knew they were not sorry for the music video.
