Only a few more months until the new album by Calvera Conspiracy is released. The band led by the two brothers, Max and Igor Cavalera, already completed work on their fourth album. The brothers said it was a mix of death and thrash metal following Pandemonium which was released in 2014. It is being produced by longtime friend Arthur Rizk via Napalm Records.
They even have the guest vocalist, Justin Broadrick from Godflesh singing one song on the album. The brothers said in an interview with The Rockpit that this new album is a very well-put-together production. Max Cavarlera summed up his experience and explained how he felt about the entire production. He said,
“I put it neck to neck with anything we did in the past-by far my favorite all of the Cavalera albums. I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people. I think we did a great job on production. Igor’s drums sound huge. The guitar sounds super crispy, super catchy and crunchy. Our friend Arthur Rizk, he produced the last Powertrip record and Inquisition album, s he’s kind of an underground up-and-coming producer, he was really excited and motivated to work with us, and i really think he got some stuff out of me and Igor that wouldn’t come out normally. He managed to get it out of us. That was great, so I’m very excited for people to hear it.”
The Cavalera brothers also played a big role in writing their own songs. Max Cavalera said he spent two months only on riffs. Once he had the best ones set aside, he started making music with those riffs. Once the riffs were turned into a full song, they started on vocals.
The brothers said they just went for it and payed close attention to their vocals. They got inspiration from Sepultura’s Morbid Visions and created a few instrumentals called “Impalement Execution” and “Judas Pariah.”
regarding the production of the album, Max told HeavyMetal.dk that Arthur Rizk was super passionate about music just like the cavalera brothers and has a great understanding of music today and he captured the classic Max and Igor in a way that had never been done before. Max said,
“It was always his objective from the beginning-he wanted to capture the soul of the brothers, and I think he did. I think it’s quite amazing, looking back, that somebody can get that out of you after twenty-five years.”

The band is very excited to release this album after Pandemonium sold 2,600 copies in the United States in the first week.
In 2011, Blunt Force Trauma opened with 5,000 copies, and their very first album Inflikted from 2008 had a tally of 9,000 copies sold.
