Billie Joe Armstrong, who has joined The Replacements at Coachella,  has now created a supergroup and now the gourp has their first song out. Armstrongs, a super group that features Billie Joe (Green Day), Tim (Operation Ivy/Rancid/Transplants), Joey (SWMRS), and Rey Armstrong, have recently a new single called “If There Was Ever A Time”, through Hellcat Records.

The tune of the song has a moveable, fast beat. The song starts with the chorus and continues with solo guitar pieces. The song will be listened to below.

With the track release, Armstrongs will donate all of the proceeds to 924 Gilman, which is a DIY, nonprofit, all-agees venue for music, art, and community events in Berkeley, California. There are limited disc copies available, through Pirates Press, on July 28th.

The song was featured in the documentary Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk. According to the press release, “it was exciting to work on this song with Billie and crew for the film,” says Tim. “Stoked to share the tune with everyone out there and to be donating all the proceeds to Gilman, which is a place so near, dear, and important to us.”
